Description:
Agglomerated flux SJ101 is a kind of fluride-alkaline sintered flux, the basicity index is about 1.8. It is shaped as grey, round grains and its size is 2.0-0.45mm(10-40mesh). It can be used with either AC or DC. The wleding wire is connected to the positive elctrode when used with DC. It has stable arc combustion, good slag detachability and good appearance of weld. The weld metal has higher low-temperature impact toughness.
As a peculiar production technique is adopted, the flux possesses better moisture resistance and good strength of grains, which may satisfy the requiements for regular transportation, storage and recycling use in welding. The flux has less specific gravity when it is bulk packed. And it is consumed less in the welding.
Applications:
Match with suitable welding wires(EM12, EM12K, EM13K, EH14, EA4-A2, EA4-A4), It may weld many kinds of low alloy structure steel, used in important welding produces, such as bridges, ship building, high pressure vessels, pipes. Used by multi-layer welding, two-runand single pass technique, multi-wire welding and narrow-gap welding.
Notes for welding:
1. Redry the flux for 2 hours at 300-350º C prior to be used.
2. Some rust, oil, moisture and other impurities must be cleared away from the area to be welded.
