Agglomerated flux specially for build-up welding
Description:
SJ102 is a type of fluoride-Alkalintiy sintered flux, and its allinity is approximately 1.6. The flux is
composed of light yellow ball grains, with the grain size of 10-60 meshes ( 2.0mm-0.30mm ). It can be
used for build-up welding of conticaster rolls, back-up rolls, and different kinds of wearproof materials,
matched with welding wires 1Cr13, 2Cr13 and 3Cr13, or welding strips, while SJ102 can also be used for
build-up welding rollers and axles of φ ≥100mm, matched with corresponding alloy welding wires.
Compared with fused flux HJ260, the slag of SJ102 is shorter, easier for slag detachbility in high
temperature ( ≥500ºC ) with fine welding bead, while its chemical properties are less active, therefore,
alloy elements are consumed less in welding.
Application:
1.Weld many kinds of steel used in pipeline coordinate(such as X52,X60,X65,X70 and so on) with proper
welding wire(H08C,H08MnA,H08MnMoA,H08Mn2MoA).
2.Muti-layer welding,double side single channel welding, multi-wire welding and narrow gap submerged arc
welding.
Usage:
SJ102 is suitable for single-way spiral welding, swing welding, and build-up welding. When applied with
flux-cored wire, SJ102 can used for build-up welding of continous caster roll, cold roll, back-up roll, etc. It
can weld shafts and rolls of small diameter with excellent performance.

Cautions:
1.The welding flux must be baked for 2 hours at the temperature of 300-350ºC before build-up welding.
2.Some foreign substances such as rust,grease and moiture on the weldment should be removed before
welding.
3.It should be used in build-up welding with reversed electrode DC.
4.It should be used in welding as the build-up welding technique required by weldment.
